Wherever you are, you're in TICA's world. TICA was founded in the summer of 1979. Today, TICA's unique, genetics-based registry attracts followers from all over the world. Built on scientifically established principles, TICA has grown into the largest genetic cat registry in the world.

The organization has expanded internationally, with clubs and members worldwide. Besides the USA, you'll find TICA shows in Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, the Netherlands, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and other countries joining all the time, all around the globe.

To encourage its members to work together to preserve purebred cats, as well as the health and welfare of pets.
To maintain the most accurate and scientifically grounded certified pedigree registry in the world.
To support shows that promote both pedigree and household cats — events that are fun as well as educational.
To encourage its members to actively spread information about neutering and the humane treatment of animals.
To encourage involvement in civic initiatives and groups dedicated to the responsible health and welfare of cats.
To bring cat lovers together from around the world.
To provide information not only on the breeding and showing of pedigree cats, but also on the health and welfare of all cats.
To support research into feline health through the International Cat Foundation, which sponsors scientific research and educational activities.

For the love of wonderful cats, good spirits, and friendship

TICA recognizes more than 50 cat breeds for championship competition, awarding regional and international honors to the top-performing adult cats, kittens, and alters. Non-pedigree household pets compete against one another for the same awards and recognition.

TICA takes pride in its unique judging format, its well-trained and professional judges, and above all in the friendly atmosphere of its shows. The organization encourages family participation through its fun and educational Junior Exhibitor program.
